Each year, we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by reflecting, rejoicing, and recommitting to his vision of justice, compassion, and unity. The King Center’s 2027 theme, “Be Love. Heal Humanity. Honor Truth. Prioritize Justice. Practice Nonviolence365,” calls us to put love into action, embrace our shared humanity, and work toward a more just and peaceful world through everyday acts of courage and compassion.
We invite artists of all ages and working in all mediums to submit original works inspired by this year’s theme for our January 2027 exhibition in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. All submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. on December 18, 2026.
Artists selected to exhibit their work will be invited to join us for a special opening reception on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January 18, 2027.
