This July\, The Village Arts Factory invites you to sit back\, relax\, and soak in summer at Jazz in the Park\, a Wednesday evening concert series set in Preservation Park. For the kick off on July 8th\, spend an evening with the Depot Town Big Band!\n\nDepot Town Big Band is a traditional 19-piece Big Band from Ypsilanti\, MI. Their sound draws from the legends\, like the timeless swing of Count Basie\, the elegance of Glenn Miller\, the fire of Maynard Ferguson\, and the innovation of Thad Jones. You’ll also hear the influence of modern masters like Tom Kubis\, Gordon Goodwin\, and even Koji Kondo — because great music transcends genre.
