SUMMARY:Glass Fusion Workshop: Garden Ornaments & More
DESCRIPTION:We’ve partnered with Kiss My Glass to offer this fun and unique glass fusion workshop at the Village Arts Factory! Please join us on August 8th to create a summery glass design of your choosing! You can choose to create any design you’d like including birds\, insects\, flowers\, boats\, and sunsets\, for example. Finished projects can be displayed indoors or out; approx. size 4″ x 5″. The cost is just $37 per person. \nNo experience necessary and all materials will be provided. Let our fused glass instructor show you how easy it is to cut and design something beautiful with glass. This class is also appropriate for children age 10+ who are accompanied by a paid adult who will cut the glass for them. (Due to limited seating\, you will need to purchase registrations for both parent and child.) \nYou will create your design by using a special tac glue as an adhesive and all projects will go home with the instructor to be kiln fired and assembled and delivered back to the center in about 10 days. An email will be sent out when ready for pickup. Please let your friends and family know about the fun! \nCancellation Policy: Registrations may be cancelled and refunded up to 7 days before the date of the workshop. Due to the nature of this workshop and the need to purchase materials and supplies in advance\, we cannot offer refunds within 7 days of the workshop date. You may transfer your registration to someone else or receive a teacher-made finished project instead.

DESCRIPTION:It is with great excitement that we announce the opening of registration for this year’s Agent Orange Awareness 5K Run/Walk in Cherry Hill Village\, presented by Jacob Matthew Jewelers. The race date has been set for Saturday\, August 24\, at 9:00am\, with a 1/4 Mile Fun Run taking place 30-minutes prior at 8:30am. As with last year\, a virtual race option is also available for those who would like to participate on their own time or from another location. The race will start and finish at the Village Arts Factory at 50755 Cherry Hill Road in Canton\, Michigan.\n\nThis year we are proud to announce that we have partnered with the VA Ann Arbor Fisher House for this event. Proceeds from the race will directly benefit the Ann Arbor Fisher House\, which provides cost-free lodging to families and caregivers of Veterans and active duty Service Members who are undergoing an episode of care at the VA Healthcare System in Ann Arbor. This incredible local organization works tirelessly to provide respite and home-away-from-home care for these families\, and we are proud to support them this year!\n\nTake advantage of our Early Bird Registration for just $35 through July 31st. The cost of registration will increase to $45 on August 1st\, so be sure to register early and take advantage of the Early Bird discount!\n\nEvery registrant\, virtual or in-person\, will receive a beautiful finisher medal as part of their registration. SUMMARY:Glass Fusion Workshop: Pumpkin Patch
DESCRIPTION:We’ve partnered with Kiss My Glass to offer this fun and unique glass fusion workshop at the Village Arts Factory! Please join us on September 17th to create this seasonal pumpkin night light or tea light candle holder; approx. size 3.5″ x 4″. The cost is just $36 per person. \nNo experience necessary and all materials will be provided. This design is super easy. All pieces will be pre-cut for you and you can design your pumpkin layout like a puzzle or mosaic. If you choose to cut\, dexterity is needed for light cutting\, so bring your best pair of glasses\, too! There will be plenty of room to add your own creativity. This class is also appropriate for children age 10+ who are accompanied by a paid adult who will cut the glass for them. (Due to limited seating\, you will need to purchase registrations for both parent and child.) \nYou will create your design by using a special tac glue as an adhesive and all projects will go home with the instructor to be kiln fired and assembled and delivered back to the center in about 10 days. An email will be sent out when ready for pickup. Please let your friends and family know about the fun! \nCancellation Policy: Registrations may be cancelled and refunded up to 7 days before the date of the workshop. DESCRIPTION:The Village Arts Factory\, The Village Theater at Cherry Hill\, the Canton Chamber of Commerce\, and Canton Township announce the return of the Cherry Hill Village ARToberfest\, a one-day artisan and vendor fair\, that will be held on Saturday\, September 28\, 2024.  This special event\, which will be held in Canton’s Cherry Hill Village\, is sponsored by Jacob Matthew Jewelers\, Provision Living Senior Living Community\, Trinity Health-IHA Group\, LaFontaine Chevrolet of Plymouth\, Blink Eye Care\, The Village Dentist\, The Village Grocery\, Bittinger Team Realtors\, and Edward Jones of Cherry Hill Village. \nFestival-goers will have a chance to fully immerse themselves in art and fall fun from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at three unique locations:  the Village Arts Factory\, located at 50755 Cherry Hill Road; The Village Theater at Cherry Hill\, located at 50400 Cherry Hill Road; and the Cherry Hill School House\, located at 50440 Cherry Hill Road. \nThe Village Arts Factory will also host a Youth Art Fair featuring the work of artists ages 8 to 18. In addition to these promising student artists\, the event will also feature resident artisans from the Village Arts Factory\, including the Cherry Hill Potters Guild\, who will be onsite selling their original works providing festival-goers with a chance to peruse and buy one-of-a-kind creations. All of these talented artists are creating not only what’s new\, but what’s next. \n“Last year’s inaugural ARToberfest was so well received that we are thrilled to bring back this second annual fall celebration of the arts in Cherry Hill Village\,” said Kevin Ryan\, Village Arts Factory Program Director.  “A delightful range of works and merchandise will be on display and available for purchase\, plus we’ll also feature a variety of family-friendly artistic and creative activities that showcase the arts.” \nCherry Hill Road\, which will be closed between the Village Arts Factory and the Village Theater\, will be filled with food trucks (including Slows Bar BQ)\, a beer and wine tent that is hosted by Maraschino’s Pub\, chalk art\, and photo opportunities. Join us during the Farmers Market on Sunday\, October 6 as we get into the creative spirit and create custom fall doormats in celebration of the season. Select from one of eight stencil designs and bring home a beautiful\, fall-themed doormat to decorate your classroom\, porch\, or mudroom. The cost is only $45 and includes all materials! The workshop begins at 10am at the Village Arts Factory and will take approximately one hour to complete. You’ll be able to take your mat home with you that day! All mats are the same standard size: 18”x 30”. DESCRIPTION:Please join us in October to create this super cute Garden Owl Yard Art! All materials will be provided to make your own upcycled garden owl out of glass. The glass plates are approx. 10- 11″ tall and 6″ wide. You will have several different glass gem color combinations to design with and can display your owl indoors or out. If you choose to display on a metal stake (not included) an attachment on the reverse side is included so that you can insert it into the ground. These metal rebar stakes can be found at Menards/Home Depot/Lowe’s for about $6. (You do not need to bring this to class with you.) \nInstructor Laurie with Kiss My Glass will show you step-by-step during this instructional course. DESCRIPTION:Join us on November 12 to create this beautiful glass Christmas Tree Night Light or Tea Light Candle Holder! \nAll materials will be provided and you will choose to make one of two Christmas tree projects. Plug your Christmas Tree Night Light into any outlet and it will illuminate your home with beautiful holiday spirit (approx. size 4″). You may also chose a Tea Light Candle Holder that will have a tealight holder attached to the back to insert your candle (approx. size: 5-6″). \nNo experience needed. The shape of the Christmas tree will be pre-cut for you and the instructor will show you how easy it is to cut and attach the glass to make your tree glow with color! \nYou will create your design by using a special tac glue as an adhesive. Laurie with Kiss My Glass will show you how easy it is to cut the glass. All projects will go home with the instructor to be kiln fired and assembled and will be delivered approx. 10-days back to the Village Arts Factory. An email will be sent out with pickup instructions. \nCancellation Policy: Registrations may be cancelled and refunded up to 7 days before the date of the workshop. Due to the nature of this workshop and the need to purchase materials and supplies in advance\, we cannot offer refunds within 7 days of the workshop date. You may transfer your registration to someone else or receive a teacher-made finished project instead.

Beach glass is created when turbulent waves combine with course sand to create a natural rock tumbling effect. The resulting product is a mixture of wonderfully polished glass – a treasure that we will be utilizing to create our beautiful Christmas trees!\n$65 includes step by step instructions\, a wide variety of beautiful glass\, and all other supplies. Finished project measures approximately 9 inches tall. Mini starfish and lights included! SUMMARY:DIY Holiday Doormat Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Kick off the holiday season with a fun DIY Holiday Doormat Workshop at the Village Arts Factory! Join us on Saturday\, November 23rd as we get into the creative spirit and stencil custom winter doormats. Select from one of five stencil designs and bring home a beautiful\, holiday-themed doormat to grace your porch or mudroom. The cost is only $45 and includes all materials! The workshop begins at 10am and will run approximately 1.5 hours. You’ll be able to take your mat home with you that day! All mats are the same standard size: 18”x 30”. This workshop is recommended for ages 16+ but a child may attend with their parent.
