SUMMARY:Glass Fusion Workshop: Spring Dragonfly
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the season with color\, creativity\, and a little sparkle in this beginner-friendly fused glass workshop on Thursday\, May 28th from 6:15–8:15 PM. For just $44\, you’ll create a stunning glass dragonfly piece that will brighten any space. \nLaurie of Kiss My Glass will guide you step-by-step through the magic of working with fused glass. You’ll start with a pre-cut blue glass background and choose whether you’d like to create a nightlight or a suncatcher. Then the fun begins — select from a beautiful assortment of vibrant glass colors to design your very own dragonfly exactly the way you envision it. \nDuring class\, you’ll arrange and glue your glass pieces into place. Afterward\, Laurie will kiln-fire your project to fuse it into a finished work of art. Completed pieces will be ready for pickup at the Art Center in approximately 10–12 days\, and all registered participants will receive an email notification when they are ready. \nThis class is perfect for adults of all ages and skill levels — no prior experience needed. Whether you come with friends or enjoy a creative evening for yourself\, you’ll leave inspired and excited to see your finished piece. \nPlease Note: \n\nWear closed-toed shoes.\nDrinks are welcome\, but food is not permitted in the studio (food and glass do not mix).\n\nRefund Policy: \nThere are no refunds for this class. Generously sponsored by The Village Doctor at Cherry Hill\, join us Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. for a FREE outdoor yoga experience designed for all fitness levels. \nDue to several major construction projects taking place throughout Cherry Hill Village this season — including work surrounding the Schoolhouse lawn — Yoga in the Village will temporarily take place at the beautiful Preservation Park Market Pavilion\, located at 500 N. Ridge Rd.\, Canton\, MI 48187. \nBring a yoga mat and comfortable clothing and enjoy an evening of movement\, mindfulness\, and fresh air in a peaceful outdoor setting. Our certified yoga instructors will guide participants through an accessible yoga flow focused on stretching the body\, calming the mind\, and connecting with nature. No previous yoga experience is necessary\, and no pre-registration is required. \nBecause classes will take place on the pavilion’s paved surface\, yoga mats are strongly recommended for added comfort and support. DESCRIPTION:It is with great excitement that we announce the opening of registration for this year’s Agent Orange Awareness 5K Run/Walk in Cherry Hill Village\, presented by Jacob Matthew Jewelers! The race date has been set for Saturday\, September 26\, at 9:00am\, with a 1/4 Mile Fun Run taking place 30-minutes prior at 8:30am. As with last year\, a virtual race option is also available for those who would like to participate on their own time or from another location. The race will start and finish at Preservation Park\, 500 North Ridge Road\, Canton\, MI 48188. Official race timing will be provided by Running Fit of Ann Arbor. \nAs we celebrate our 5-Year Anniversary\, we’re proud to announce our partnership again with Fisher House Michigan for this event. Proceeds from the race will directly benefit Fisher House Michigan\, which provides cost-free lodging to families and caregivers of veterans and active duty service members who are undergoing an episode of care at the VA Healthcare System. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special series of quarterly Art Walks set in the picturesque charm of Cherry Hill Village—where art\, community\, and a little adventure come together. \nWe’ll begin our journey at the Village Theater\, where you’ll be welcomed with coffee and donuts as you take in the current exhibition at The Gallery at Cherry Hill (50400 Cherry Hill Road).
