DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, June 8\, for a fun afternoon of adaptive music at the Village Arts Factory! During these one-hour workshops\, board-certified music therapist Brad Tata will lead the kids in a variety of musical activities\, including listening\, movement\, singing\, dance\, and instrument playing. The session for our A.C.E. Kids (ages 5-12) will start at 2:00pm and the session for our A.C.E. Teens (ages 13-17) will start at 3:00pm. Your kids will love experiencing the joy of making music in a supportive\, sensory-friendly environment. The cost is only $10 per child and all materials are included. A parent or guardian must attend with child. SUMMARY:Glass Fusion Workshop: Pinwheel Garden Flower
DESCRIPTION:We’ve partnered with Kiss My Glass to offer this fun and unique glass fusion workshop at the Village Arts Factory! Please join us on June 18th to create this beautiful pinwheel garden flower; approx. size 15″ x 5″. The cost is just $39 per person. \nNo experience necessary and all materials will be provided. Let our fused glass instructor show you how easy it is to cut and design something beautiful with glass. This class is also appropriate for children age 10+ who are accompanied by a paid adult who will cut the glass for them. (Due to limited seating\, you will need to purchase 2 registrations.) \nYou will create your design by using a special tac glue as an adhesive and all projects will go home with the instructor to be kiln fired and assembled and delivered back to the center in about 10 days. An email will be sent out when ready for pickup. Please let your friends and family know about the fun! \nCancellation Policy: Registrations may be cancelled and refunded up to 7 days before the date of the workshop. Due to the nature of this workshop and the need to purchase materials and supplies in advance\, we cannot offer refunds within 7 days of the workshop date. You may transfer your registration to someone else or receive a teacher-made finished project instead.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Village Arts Factory as our instructors from STEAMNSlime (formerly Challenge Island) show your kids what it takes to be a basketball hot shot! With this basketball theme\, the children will learn and utilize the scientific concepts of stored energy and elasticity. Organized in groups\, the children will flex their art and science skills to build an arena and then identify what it takes to get a ball into the hoop by building catapults and using them to propel the ball through a hoop\, which they will also build. This is an awesome opportunity for your kids to learn how art\, science\, and sports can work together to create something fun and educational! Space is limited to 20 participants; be sure to secure your spot by registering today! \nAbout STEAMNSlime \nAll STEAMNSlime lessons have a core concept of working in groups to follow the scientific process through brainstorming ideas\, planning designs\, testing\, and revising. Through this\, participants not only learn and practice the scientific process\, but also develop 21st Century skills or “soft skills”.
