(Canton, MI – November 16, 2023) Delight in the sights and sounds of the season when Christmas in the Village returns to the Village Arts Factory with new additions and even more holiday cheer on Saturday, December 2, from 3 to 8 p.m.

This family-friendly event will transform the Village Arts Factory, located at 50755 Cherry Hill Road in Canton, MI, into a winter wonderland, featuring: a live petting zoo attraction, caroling musicians, free kids’ craft activities, and a bustling Old-World Christmas Market for all your gift-giving needs.

Additional event highlights include visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus; horse-drawn carriage rides from 4-8 p.m.; and a tree lighting ceremony at 6:30 p.m. with special guests: Canton Supervisor Anne Marie Graham-Hudak, Santa Claus, and the Dodson Elementary School Choir, under the direction of Jessie Allstaedt. The Cherry Hill Potters Guild will also be on hand, joining over 25 craft and artisan vendors, selling unique crafts.

New this year! A special IKEA Uppvärmning Lodge will be erected on the event grounds, featuring warm cinnamon rolls and Swedish Glögg – while supplies last. Additional tasty food options will be available for purchase, including hot chocolate provided by Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea, and holiday coffee beverages from Hazel Coffee Co. A variety of food trucks will also be onsite, including Slows Bar BQ.

This special event, which is presented by Dairy Queen of Canton, the Village Arts Factory, and Canton Leisure Service is free and open to the entire Canton community, as well as surrounding communities. Additional sponsors include American 1 Credit Union; BLINK Eye Care; Elite Prime Care, IKEA, Schoolcraft College, Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea, and Trinity Heath Medical Group – Cherry Hill Village.

All ages are encouraged to come and enjoy Christmas in the Village’s beautiful decorations, glowing lights, cheerful music, and holiday merriment inside the Village Arts Factory before venturing outside for carriage rides through the park, carolers, and unique seasonal entertainment.
