Thanks to generous grant funding from the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, the Village Arts Factory is proud to partner with the Canton Village Theater to present a series of incredible theater production programs this summer for youth! The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in Beetlejuice JR., the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. Whether interested in being part of the cast, getting hands-on with costumes and set design, or looking to join our teen-led production team, your kids will love spending their summer working on this award-winning musical.
Musical Theater Intensive
Youth ages 10-18 are invited to join this 5-week summer camp program at the Village Theater! Join the cast of Beetlejuice JR. and learn how to build the show from start to finish. This program track runs Monday through Friday, 9am to 3pm, from July 7 through August 10. Pre-registration is required; the cost is $650 per student. Limited spaces are filling up, so be sure to register soon!
Theater Production Work Study
This exceptional opportunity for teens ages 14-18 is a hands-on, work study program to learn the ins and outs of production management, including costuming, set design, sound, lighting, and more! Perfect for students who love theater and might be interested in pursuing acting, directing, or theater management one day as a career. Each student who completes the program will earn a $500 stipend while learning from experts in their respective fields. Online application is required; the cost to register is $100, refunded upon completion of the program.
Theater Tech Intensives
These one-week camps will get hands-on with the creative elements of theater, including painting, costuming, and set design! Spend a week with us bringing Beetlejuice JR. to life with arts, crafts, and other creative activities. Perfect for youth ages 10-18 looking for a fun way to get involved with the theater. Pre-registration is required; the cost is $150 per week.
